News & Opinion: 80 Books All Managers Should Read - Introduction
I recently received a tome of a book with the titled Financial Times Handbook of Management 3rd Edition. All I need to say is that it has 1,120 pages and weighs almost 5 lbs.
I loved it. It has alot of great stuff in it.
Somehow, I managed to open to the correct page (out of the 1120 pages I previously mentioned) to find the mother of all business book lists. This section in the appendix was titled "80 Books All Managers Should Read". Any business book list with a title originally published 600 B.C. is one you can't pass by.
So, the list has a great preface and is divided up by decades. Financial Times has been very gracious in letting us republish the whole section. We'll start posting entries tomorrow and run the series for the next two weeks.
