News & Opinion: Buffett Recommends More

By: Dylan Schleicher @ 1:23 PM – Filed under: Current Events & Public Affairs

Rodent Regetta reports that Charles Munger and Warren Buffett recommended two books at the Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders meeting. The first is Deep Simplicity by John Gribbin (Allen Lane, 2004). It is currently only available in the UK. The second is Les Schwab Pride in Performance: Keep It Going by Les Schwab (Pacific Northwest Books, 1986). Schwab runs a very successful chain of tire service centers in the Pacific Northwest. This book is currently out of print, but give us a call at 800-CEO-READ if you need help finding a copy. The reason I title the entry "Buffet Recommends More" is there were a number of book recommendations in this year's Berkshire Hathaway annual report. They gave a nod to Jason Zweig's revising of Benjamin Graham's classic The Intelligent Investor. They also referenced Jim Clayton's autobiography, First A Dream (BH bought Clayton Homes after a class of University of Tennessee students recommended the book to Buffett).
