News & Opinion: Can't Get Started

By: Dylan Schleicher @ 4:36 PM – Filed under: Management & Workplace Culture

Have you ever tried to read a book and not been able to get started?
I have tried about five times now to start read Beyond Disruption by Jean-Marie Dru. I can't get past page 40. I originally got the suggestion from Tom Peters' Re-Imagine and I have been pretty happy with his other suggestions.
I think that happens with books. You don't like the writing style. You don't agree with the author. You're not in the right mood for a type of book. There is probably nothing wrong with the book. It just doesn't click with you.
What about you?
