News & Opinion: DearReader.com

By: Dylan Schleicher @ 2:30 PM – Filed under: Publishing Industry

I don't know if you are familiar with DearReader.com. The service is the brainchild of Suzanne Beecher. She came up with the idea of day delivering a five minute sample of a book to your emailbox each day. Each week they cover a new title and in five days, you manage to read two or three chapters through the emails. She has almost a dozen clubs you can join to fit your particular taste.
What made me bring up DearReader.com today is the busines book they are highlighting this week - When The Buck Stops With You: Harry Truman on Leadership by Alan Axelrod. We had a post about Mr. Axelrod last week.
If you are interested in trying their business book club, you can sign up here.

About Dylan Schleicher

Dylan Schleicher has been a part of the 800-CEO-READ claque since 2003. Even though he's stayed on at the company, he has not stayed put. After beginning in shipping & receiving, he joined customer service and accounting before moving into his current, highly elliptical orbit of duties overseeing the ChangeThis and In the Books websites, the company's annual review of books and in-house design. He lives with his wife and two children in the Washington Heights neighborhood on Milwaukee's West Side.
