News & Opinion: New Excerpt and Podcast: Beyond Reason

Emotions appear in the best of times and the worst of times--like at your best friend's wedding when tears of joy spill out to the argument with your brother where anger seems to dictate your words. When emotions appear in negotiations, there can be detrimental effects. Hence why Roger Fisher and Daniel Shapiro wrote Beyond Reason--a book about actually using (rather than hiding) your emotions while negotiating.
I've read the book cover to cover and found it to be an interesting and helpful negotiating manual. So today I posted excerpts about "Strong Emotions" and posted the audio version of the same excerpt.
