We begin another year of PechaKucha events in Milwaukee on February 23. This one will be different than past events in a number of ways. For one, it will be free - no ticket purchases through this site - just show up at the event. There will be more presenters than usual, so the start time will be prompt to get everyone home as early as possible on a Tuesday night. Shopkeeper Ken (8crMeg's husband) will be DJing, and lastly, the first 20 people through the door will receive a copy of Andy Nulman's book Pow! Wow! Of course, there will be a couple of surprises that I'll save for the event - mostly having to do with the presentations. Some people have gone above and beyond for this one! What the heck is PechaKucha, you ask? It's an event that started in Tokyo where people present their idea while 20 images they've selected change automatically every 20 seconds. It's also an incredibly good time. Full details can be found here. Hope to see you there!
