News & Opinion: The Little Book That Beats the Market

By: Dylan Schleicher @ 8:13 PM – Filed under: Current Events & Public Affairs

A new book is due out November 11 called The Little Book That Beats the Market. While I have not yet checked out this book, the name reminds me of an old childhood tale -- The Little Engine that Could.
The book itself may not necessarily "beat the market", but according to today's review in the WSJ (front page of Money & Investing) it will help you beat the market by becoming a better investor.
The author, Joel Greenblatt is also known for his book published a few years back called You can Be a Stock Market Genius (Even If You're Not Too Smart). With his new book, Greenblatt aimed to "provide advice that, while sophisticated, could be understood and followed by his five children, ages 6 to 15."
It may just be the little book that could make you a buck or two.
