News & Opinion: This Week - 3/14/05
Things are somber here in Milwaukee this morning. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the people killed and injured in the shooting Saturday in Brookfield. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has an extensive article on what happened.
For us this week, we will be hosting one of the stops on the Business Blog Book Tour. The book we are featuring is Naked in the Boardroom by Robin Wolaner. You may have seen the excerpts we ran last week. You can find a schedule for the tour here. Today, Kirsten at re:invention is hosting. She already has an intro and a Q&A posted. You'll hear Robin here on Wednesday on the "Toddcast".
The excerpt this week is from Mother Leads Best by Moe Grzelakowski. I am partial to these sorts of books being a part-time stay at home dad. Moe has organized the book with chapter as a phase of raising children from the decision to have children through to the teen age years. In each chapter, she talks about the qualities you learn and how it applies to leadership.
Tom E. says he will have another piece for us this week. I am going to be posting an audiobook excerpt. Jack will probably have a post. And we'll see what else comes up.
Have a great week.
