News & Opinion: This Week - 5/2/05

By: Dylan Schleicher @ 1:37 PM – Filed under: Management & Workplace Culture

Welcome to a new week here at 800-CEO-READ. It's in the 30's here this morning, but is expected to slowly warm up through out the week and be in the 70's be next weekend.

Lots going on this week. We will be running an excerpt from Getting Them To Give a Damn: How to Get Your Front Line To Care About Your Bottom Line by Eric Chester. I found the book pretty interesting. The piece we are going to run talks about how differently Generation Y thinks about the world.

On Thursday, we will have Jonathan Kranz, author of Writing Copy for Dummies, joining us for an author visit. Writing is such an essential skill in the business world. I think Jonathan has some really great insights on the process and how companies can leverage the content they have.

There will an audio excerpt up on the Podcast blog tomorrow. Not sure what yet. I think it will be a classic.

I also have a number of entries to put up this morning.

So let's get started!

Have a great week!
