My copy is yellowed from age, and the pages are dog-eared from repeated use. Farsons paradoxes in leadership take the wind out of slick management fads and slogan-based leadership.

It's not, strictly speaking, a business book, but the best book I've read this fall is Season of Life by Jeffrey Marx. The subtitle of this touching 177-page volume is "a football star, a boy, a journey to manhood. " But you don't have to care about football to enjoy Season of Life, which is, in essence, about leadership.


Worthwhile Business Books

I picked up a copy of the new Worthwhile magazine. Multiple bloggers (Curt and Halley) associated with the magazine report that sales are very good on the permiere issue . My personal effort to get a copy required calls to three bookstores in the Milwaukee area.
