While it's slightly gossipy, there was an interesting article from Leslie Wayne in The New York Times recently about Warren Buffet and his biographer, Alice Schroeder. While it's slightly gossipy, there was an interesting article from Leslie Wayne in The New York Times recently about Warren Buffet and his biographer, Alice Schroeder. Apparently, the dinner hosted by Ms. Schroeder, a tradition of many years at Berkshire Hathaway's annual meeting, has been canceled this year. The speculation in the article is that this is due to Buffet's "displeasure with some aspects of Ms. Schroeder's 960-page encyclopedic best seller about his life." The book referred to is The Snowball, and it made many people's Best of 2008 lists. I would like to take this opportunity to clear something up before the rumors start flying... Jack and Todd will have no such falling-out with the subject of their book. Their relationship with the business books the cover is as strong as ever.
